Spline is an animation library that allows you to create 3D animations in their own editor, and render them on web or mobile in their own Spline viewer.

Why do we assess this technology?

Spline makes it really easy to create 3D animations, which greatly enhance our applications.

However, on mobile the performance seems very lacking, so it needs a bit more development before it will be production-ready.

Lottie is an iOS, Android, and React Native library that renders After Effects animations in real time, allowing apps to use animations as easily as they use static images.

Rive allows a designer to create interactive animations, that can be embedded and interacted with in mobile applications. This greatly improves the user experience, as well as the developer experience (as we do not need to create this animations manually).
